Regional Sales Manager - Southern California

We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager for our growing organization. Our ideal candidate is comfortable with travel and is willing to do the extra mile to grow their sales region. Specific Responsibilities & Essential Duties:
- Lead and Build our Southern California Sales Team.
- Sell Chemistry products : )
- Work closely with retail accounts to set up monthly promotions and sales.
- Sign on 10-15 new accounts every quarter. Goals adjusted regularly.
- Work closely with the Marketing and Operations team.
- Communicate regularly with our Distribution partner.
- Expand bulk extract sales to California brand partners.
- Work with management to develop annual sales forecasts and quarterly goals.
- Have a broad knowledge of the current state of the CA cannabis market.
- Hit projected sales goals and share monthly reports on progress.
- Keep on top of administrative duties. (CRM, Project Manager, Slack.)
Learn. Develop robust knowledge of Chemistry’s brand platform, product lines, collaborations, and retail partners.
Collaborate. With our small team and with our partners.
Relations. Establish, maintain and help deepen relationships for all key retail accounts.
Goals. Help establish and achieve company revenue goals.
Track. Monitor and report on industry trends, the competitive landscape and potential market opportunities.
Report. Track, analyze and share key sales metrics and performance indicators.
Meet. Participate in weekly sales meetings and other cross-functional team meetings.
Share. Keep an open dialogue of weekly goals and needs in relation to the overarching goals of the company. Keep marketing and operations teams informed on sales goals.
Travel. This job requires visiting shops throughout southern California.

Job Type: Full-time, Monday - Friday, with occasional special events on nights and weekends (currently limited due to COVID).
Salary: $60,000 to $75,000/year + quarterly commission; salary commensurate with experience.
- Commission and compensation reviewed semi-annually.

Specific Responsibilities:
As a Lab Assistant, you will participate in an integrated manufacturing team aimed at producing the highest quality cannabis extracts for our brand Chemistry, our partners, clients, collaborators and patients. You will be trained in and responsible for assisting in all aspects of manufacturing, including but not limited to the following:
- Preparation of materials for all steps in the manufacturing of cannabis extract
- Extraction, mechanical grinding of biomass, solvent transfer systems
- Lab equipment operation and maintenance
- Operation of rotary evaporators
- Tracking of batch information
- Laboratory materials and inventory management
- Cleaning, organizing and maintaining a safe lab environment
The ideal candidate will:
- Demonstrate strong communication and organization skills
- Have a desire to maintain a clean and efficient laboratory, with a focus on optimizing workflow.
- Be able to multitask and work in a dynamic environment
- Flexibility to help with workload where needed, sometimes outside of lab duties
- Learning new techniques and willingness to help structure and implement them as we grow
- Frequently communicate to team on production status, results, concerns, ideas
- Be able to solve problems creatively
- Will be able to lift up to 50 lbs

May work cross-functionally within organization to achieve common goals. Ability to work with limited supervision on projects of moderate scope and complexity.
Knowledge, Experience, and Skills
Background in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry and/or relevant experience in a laboratory setting is preferred. The preferred candidate has experience in a laboratory in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical or cannabis extraction industry. Experience in a light manufacturing or food production as considered. Strong verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills are required. Must be able to participate in highly effective teams.

As a Process Chemist, you will participate in an integrated manufacturing team aimed at producing the highest quality cannabis extracts for our brand Chemistry, our partners, clients, collaborators and patients. You will be trained in and responsible for assisting in all aspects of manufacturing, including but not limited to the following:
- Preparation of materials for all steps in the manufacturing of cannabis extract
- Extraction, mechanical grinding of biomass, solvent transfer systems
- Lab equipment operation and maintenance
- Operation of rotary evaporators
- Data input into compliance systems and management tracking platforms
- Laboratory materials and inventory management
- Cleaning, organizing and maintaining a safe lab environment
- Quality control and sample submissions to external testing laboratory
- Quality control track and trace software per California regulations
The ideal candidate will:
- Demonstrate strong leadership, communication and organization skills
- Have a desire to maintain a clean and efficient laboratory, with a focus on optimizing workflow.
- Have a familiarity with concepts regarding distillation, chromatography, polarity in context of extraction science, knowledge of phase diagrams and volatility of liquid solvents.
- Be able to multitask and work in a dynamic environment
- Have knowledge of crude cannabis oil refinement techniques
- Flexibility to help with workload where needed, sometimes outside of lab duties
