The Sales Executive is responsible for generating new business, as well as maintaining and deepening our existing customer relationships. This includes sourcing, coordinating with, and meeting potential customers in the industry that have cannabis testing needs. Primary areas of focus are identifying new customers, promoting existing customer retention, and successfully onboarding new accounts. This role is an outside sales position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide the highest level of customer service at all times. This is a relationship business.
- Partner with cannabis professionals to educate them regarding testing requirements and benefits that CannaSafe delivers (our value proposition).
- Deliver market research to industry professionals.
- Implement industry knowledge to strengthen our existing customer relationships and broaden our lead pipeline.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in our offerings, including, but not limited to, pricing, differentiation, and what we provide that our competitors do not.
- Take sales orders and submit for processing per our internal SOP.
- Educate customers on our process and ensure appropriate expectations are established and maintained regarding order timing and outcomes.
- Deliver sales presentations to customers and for internal training purposes.
- Network at industry events to gain key updates. Inform the team accordingly.
- Perform heavy cold calling to schedule in person appointments. This may require creative sourcing methods, such as leveraging social media.
- Meet our minimum number of in person and telephonic customer check-in meetings each week. These are focused on growing existing relationships and expanding services.
- Hit and surpass other quotas as defined by the TBD Sales Leader.
- Regularly maintain accurate, detailed, and current notes in HubSpot. This includes notes for existing and potential contacts.
- Partner will all levels of employees to ensure communication is seamless at all times regarding updates to customer orders.
- Generate and regularly deliver a variety of reports to the Leadership team.
- Foster a success-oriented, accountable, and ethical environment.

The Developer is responsible for the development, design, and implementation of new and modified software products and ongoing business projects. A key area of focus is our custom internally developed software including our web-based Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the team with dynamic leadership that promotes an environment of support, development, engagement, and high productivity. This includes, but is not limited to, hiring, coaching, performance management, ensuring productivity, disciplinary action, cross-training, rewards and recognition, and succession planning.
- Ensure quality assurance/control compliance and standardization. This requires maintaining current knowledge of internal and external standards, with particular focus on BCC and ISO/IEC 17025.
- Create, manage, and facilitate the quality scorecard.
- Effectively communicate quality policies and procedures to all levels of laboratory staff.
- Establish and maintain documentation and record controls and procedures.
- Develop and implement quality procedures and standards to ensure production activities meet compliance standards.
- Create and update laboratory policies and procedures associated with various assays, in partnership with the Lab Director and Quality department.
- Monitor laboratory data performance and customer complaints with tracking and establish corrective measures as needed. Prepare detailed reports, including current, trending, forecasting.
- Manage internal and external audits. Investigate findings, work with the affected department(s) to develop appropriate corrective and/or preventive actions, document the findings, and perform appropriate follow-up. Evaluate the efficacy of implemented corrective/preventive methods.
- Generate audit reports and schedule review with appropriate internal stakeholders.
- Manage the proficiency testing (PT) program for the laboratory. This includes PT vendor evaluation, purchasing PT samples, scheduling PT tests, and reviewing submissions.

- Develop, maintain, and improve SOPs in partnership with other members of laboratory leadership.
- Verify completeness of compliance data packets, including test records, analytical batch requirements, quality control samples, raw data, calibration, chromatograms, and similar.
- Interpret test results and assess compliance.
- Investigate non-conformance events, identify root cause, and compose appropriate analysis reports/findings.
- Partner with the laboratory assays to maintain control charts.
- Schedule and ensure current calibration, performance maintenance, and/or qualifications for all laboratory equipment and instrumentation. Maintain all service records.
- Partner with assay groups to ensure method validations, verifications, and transfers are performed correctly and achieve specified objectives.
- Review and/or approve protocols and reports. Ensure implementation of protocol and procedures.
- Support general laboratory activities such as attending Quality and interdepartmental meetings, troubleshooting technical issues, and acting as a resource for compliance regulations.
- Participate in internal and external audits. This may include inspecting and verifying compliance test records, compiling data packets, investigating deficiency findings, drafting corrective actions, and overseeing appropriate follow-up. Offsite audits may include sampling at other lab facilities.
- Steadily review technical publications, articles, and similar research to remain connected to our industry and keep us apprised.

Transporter Responsibilities:
- Forward routine vehicle maintenance requests to dispatcher

Lab Analyst Job Responsibilities:
- Interprets and evaluates data in terms of accuracy, precision, trends, and potential GMP impact and recommends appropriate corrective action where necessary.

- Demonstrates flexibility/agility and engagement in a changing environment. The candidate is expected to display good laboratory technique to avoid cross-contamination or misidentification of samples.

Skills and Qualifications
- AAS, BA/BS, or MS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related science.
- A minimum of 2 years related experience in Quality Operations is preferred.
- Must have demonstrated proficiency in at least one high complexity technology (e.g. HPLC, uHPLC, GC, advanced spectroscopy, etc.) or at least 2 or more low to medium complexity technologies (e.g. TLC, titrations, wet chemistry/physical testing, water testing, etc.) as required by the business
- Analyst must not be Cannabis sensitive.

Transporter Responsibilities:
- Forward routine vehicle maintenance requests to dispatcher
- Transporters must work under all laws and regulations of the legal cannabis market.

- Follow detailed procedural requirements outlined in the CannaSafe Sampling and Chain of Custody SOP
- Verify all samples received from Samplers and/or Transporters match up to the associated Chain of Custody form
- Driving for several hours at a time throughout the assigned region

- Review all analytical results for completeness and accuracy. This includes review of calibrations, test records, and LQCs to ensure proper protocol was followed.
- Communicating with Customer Service and Intake regarding release or delay of release of orders.
- Communicating with Chemists and Analysts to ensure quality of test results.
- Issuance of results to both the client and to the Bureau of Cannabis Control

Skills and Requirements:
- This position requires regular travel (~50%) to any/all major hemp cultivation regions in the US
- Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, Junior Account Manager or relevant role
- Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level
- Solid experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot, etc) and MS Office (particularly MS Excel)
- Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
- Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Sales or relevant field
