CannaOne Nation, Inc, is currently accepting applications for Volunteer Host/Emcee for the MISSISSIPPI CANNABIS EXPO - CANNABIS MEETS HEALTHCARE EXPO at the Biloxi Gulf Coast Convention Center, 2350 Beach Blvd, Biloxi, MS 39531
Must be available to work JULY 7th - 9th 2022 - 7am-8pm shifts will vary.

Volunteering is a great way to get up close with others that are already doing business in the industry. Join the CannaOne Volunteer Team! DUTIES MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO... Assist in loading, set up, operate and tear down of event equipment Provide an Event Hosting/Emcee experience while assisting in the logistical execution of the Conference.
Provide an awesome experience through engagement and interaction with speakers and attendees at the Conference. Communicate and work with clients, vendors, event venue and event support staff in the preparation and execution of the Conference. Patiently and professionally troubleshoot issues that arise (equipment or speaker related) Assist in the cleanup of event area at the conclusion of the Conference.
Preferred: Previous experience with emceeing, announcing or hosting events Experienced and comfortable with public speaking Experienced with working with microphones. This role will introduce the next speaker, facilitate the attendee questions, prep for the upcoming speaker, conduct the on stage give-aways.
Volunteers must have excellent people and customer service skills as this position has a high level of guest and speaker contact. This position also involves a lot of walking as part of the job. Volunteers must have a good eye for detail and a strong work ethic. Background check required. A valid driver's license, clean driving record and personal dependable transportation are also required.

Scope of Position: CannaOne Inc. is seeking a Public Relations and Special Events Manager. This position will be responsible for the creation, development, implementation and/or management of public relations and special events for all CannaOne Cannabis Education Expo Events. Position will require some remote work and travel to events.
The position will cultivate and develop close working relationships with media representatives and outlets, including television, radio and print media. Position will gather, write and pitch promotional stories for events, give podcast interviews, edit and distribute media releases. In addition, this position will coordinate and implement all aspects of the PR for special events throughout the year.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in communications or similar field
· Five years or more public relations, communications or event management
· 21 years of age and possessing a valid Driver’s License
· Ability to prioritize, organize and manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and articulate various program aspects and needs
· Ability to build and maintain relationships resulting in frequent media coverage in the local community both in print and video
· Excellent speaking, writing, editing and proofing skills, as well as effective persuasive oral communication skills

· Work independently and with Manager to create strategic plans to achieve revenue goals by generating new sales ideas and researching new markets and trends.
· Prospect for new business through various sources including industry and other publications, websites and competitive shows.
· Provide accurate sales projections and forecasts.
· Work with sales team remotely as required leading up to and during production.
· Assist with Value Added and Sponsorship Sale programs.
· Coordinate the completion of production forms, Exhibitor Kit Requests, Graphics Order forms and Floor plan requests.
· Arrange conference calls and travel.
· Generate sales lead opportunities and prospect for potential opportunities
· Create estimates, purchase orders and invoices
· Develop initial exhibit concepts and designs to sell to clients
· Oversee the design, coordination, and production of all exhibits
· Manage cost to revenue ratios to achieve financial goals
· Maintain knowledge of current interior design trends, as well as new industry-related techniques, materials, and suppliers
Required Skills
