Full Job Description
We are looking for a results driven retail store manager to be responsible for the overall store management. The successful candidate will be able to enhance customer satisfaction, meet sales and profitability goals and manage staff effectively. Candidates will have the most success if they have a background in financial planning, employee recruitment, or retail management. Store manager responsibilities may include supervising assistant store managers.
Responsibilities
- Develop business strategies to raise our customers’ pool, expand store traffic and optimize profitability
- Meet sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring and providing feedback to sales staff and Cannabis buyer
- Ensure high levels of customers satisfaction through excellent service
- Complete store administration and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
- Report on buying trends, customer needs, profits etc
- Propose innovative ideas to increase market share
- Conduct personnel performance appraisals to assess training needs and build career paths
- Deal with all issues that arise from staff or customers (complaints, grievances etc)
- Be a shining example of well behavior and high performance
- Additional store manager duties as needed
Skills
- Proven successful experience as a manager in a customer first environment, e.g., Starbucks, Nordstrom, or Cannabis store
- Powerful leading skills and business orientation

Pay: $53,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

We are a new Cannabis Retailer opening in Santa Rosa in mid 2020. The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations and management of the retail location. The GM creates and implements SOPs, trains and educates staff, serves as administrator for POS system. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Includes the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Participate in developing and implementing operational rules, regulations, policies, and procedures to advance company’s mission, vision, goals, and objectives.
- Manage, supervise and direct the activities of assigned staff, and make recommendations regarding hiring, discipline, termination or advancement of employees.
- Implement dispensary policies and ensure staff follows best practices.
- Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
- Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus
- Share a trusting relationship with employees and recruit, manage and develop retail staff
- Address employees’ issues or grievances
- Drive continuous improvement and optimization of all processes
- Provide leadership on major issues facing the organization
- Working collectively with support managers and understanding all aspects of the business
- Ensure the dispensary’s compliance with security, inventory and local and state regulations
- Manage financial records and cash handling procedures.
- Provide education and development for staff about medical cannabis strains, edibles, concentrates and consumption mechanisms.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of every product and strain in the store, as well as industry-wide product knowledge.
- Sets the environment for the operating nature and Company brand and is a resource for staff concerning all product and service policies.
- Oversees all inventory, inventory control procedures, and cash handling protocols. including monthly counts of all cannabis and cannabis products.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or 3-4 years of relevant management experience.
- Experience in the cannabis industry, preferred.
Knowledge and Abilities:
- Must be a self-starter with a strong sense of self-development.
- Must possess strong conflict management skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the retail cannabis environment.
- Knowledge of laws and regulations related to cannabis operations.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and time management skills.
- Demonstrated approachability and customer service skills.
- Demonstrated reliability, dependability and flexibility in work habits.
- Possess a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient knowledge of general office procedures and office machines.
- Advanced skills in the MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Ability to research and understand regulations for particular cannabis retail markets.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, exhibiting a high level of integrity and trustworthiness.

We are a new Cannabis Retailer opening in mid 2020. We're looking for an Assistant Manager to oversee all daily retail operations for our first store in Santa Rosa. The Assistant Manager follows established policies and procedures, contributes to the development of new concepts, policies and protocols necessary to perform job duties and tasks. Responsible for the day to day operations of the retail staff, delivery staff and security staff. Responsible for the growth and success of the venue. You lead a sales force of experts, advocates and consultants that discover guests’ needs and offer solutions to earn their loyalty. Following standards and operating all aspects of the dispensary under the direction of the General Manager.

Job Requirements:
- Report and review inventory levels, including discrepancy's.
- Recommend products to customers to ensure they get the products they want and need.
- Collaborate with fellow associates and promote teamwork to help achieve company and store goals.
- Conduct review of supply levels. Provide suggested items for ordering to the Purchasing Manger/Supervisor.
- Oversee dispensary team including but not limited to: reception, budtenders, security, dispatch and delivery drivers.
- Ensure all opening and closing duties are completed and the venue is completely secured before departing at night or opening in the morning.
- Supports the Dispensary Manager by monitoring the activities of the store employees to maximize efficiency, minimize errors.
- Assists in conducting employee evaluations.
* Additional Experience from the cannabis industry, medical marijuana, or as a marijuana dispensary manager is also a plus
