The Director of Supply Chain/Quality will support the growing Calyx Operations ecosystem through effective scoping and management of SLAs for both external vendors and our internal manufacturing organization. We seek an analytically driven individual with demonstrable experience in product manufacturing, quality and supply chain. This leader will have defined quality initiatives and shown success through data-backed execution. They will have experience mentoring and managing team members while playing a key role in refining our processes to scale. Success will be measured through key KPI improvements, root cause analysis and communication to senior leadership with strategic recommendations for operational improvements and cost savings. This role reports to the
VP of Operations and is on-site at our high tech facility in West Valley City.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own the daily management of Supply Chain, Operations and Quality
- Define and manage quarterly and annual goals for the team and ensure they are executed while also addressing and resolving blockers from obtaining them through cross-functional support
- Refine processes for scalability and make resource recommendations using activity-based data points where appropriate
- Oversee a Quality team and support programs designed to improve and remediate quality outcomes, including CAPA, SCAR, NCRs
- Manage vendor relationships including the evolution and enforcement of master service, quality, and service level agreements while making recommendations on new vendors or improvements to current relationships
- Refine and restructure our service levels to align our vendors and internal team members to execute them successfully
- Oversee the procurement and logistics operations of our business
- Ensure that a reliable CAPEX strategy is in place including Calyx managed and Vendor managed equipment maintenance processes are in place and adhered to
- Coach and mentor individual contributors on the Operations team to ensure professional development goals are achieved
- Adopt and evolve current reporting to inform leadership and to determine areas of focus for cross-functional team members
- Provide strategic recommendations on new opportunities for operational setup /cost saving measures to support product development in meeting the market needs
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field, MBA a plus
- Analytical mindset, with strong statistical and problem-solving skills. Lean Six Sigma certification a plus
- A career path from Quality to Supply Chain Management is ideal
- Supply Chain / Sourcing including logistics experience preferred, managed or worked with warehousing / distribution companies a plus
- Product Manufacturing experience required, Packaging experience a plus
- Highly effective Vendor Management experience required
- ERP experience required, Netsuite experience preferred
- Strong verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to develop effective internal and external relationships with vendors
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Advanced Excel experience, and competence in statistical analytical software systems
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team

The Press Operator operates and maintains digital presses that produce printed labels. The operator is usually responsible for operating more than one piece of digital press equipment, including maintenance, troubleshooting and repair. The ideal candidate should have deep familiarity with HP Indigo or Flexographic printing, finishing press operations, substrates, inks, and finishing processes. The ability to operate large format printers and finishing is a plus. This role reports to the Production Manager or Supervisor.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate Flexo/Digital Hybrid press. Cross train on HP Indigo digital press.
- Read and understand orders to assure correct materials are produced to company standards
- Responsible for pulling appropriate stock, make ready of machine, color match consistency, and production runs
- Monitor print process to ensure print quality and recognize when adjustments are necessary
- Maintain equipment, troubleshoots equipment problems, performs prescribed preventative maintenance on equipment as required and identify repairs if needed
- Track and record all consumables and through-put of equipment
- Keep color profiles necessary for consistency and calibration
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
- Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department manager
- Communicate status of jobs to department manager
- Operate in a safe and efficient manner
- Communicate with management any issues not meeting the ODS standards
- Update relevant MIS systems with job and production information
- Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- High School graduate, or completion of GED required
- A minimum of two years’ experience in a digital printing environment operating digital presses is desired
- Previous experience with Flexographic printing with the ability to be cross trained on HP Indigo equipment.
- Previous experience in setting up and running HP Indigo equipment and files and HP Indigo certification is a plus
- Forklift certification a plus
- This position requires and individual who is technically and mechanically oriented with strong computer skills with file-to-print process

We are looking for an ambitious Junior Accountant to provide support to the financial department by managing daily accounting tasks. You will be part of a team of professionals working to maintain order and transparency for the company’s finances. The Junior Accountant will work closely with the Accounting team and will handle all activities and operations of the accounts payable and accounts receivable function. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build relationships with vendors and work to resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Manage accounts payable key activities including vendor maintenance, invoice processing, and payments
- Ensure all invoices are coded correctly
- Responsible for cash collections and cash applications
- Identify variances and recommend solutions
- Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
- Contribute to the development of processes and procedures along with process improvements
- Perform bank reconciliation process on a daily basis
- Assist in month end close, including reconciliations and some journal entries
- Maintain W-9s and prepare 1099s
REQUIREMENTS:

We are currently searching for a highly analytical QC/Shipping Technician to join
our production department. As a quality inspector, you will adhere to the quality and safety
regulations of our company to ensure that all our products meet quality expectations. You will also
be responsible for managing the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies, as well
as collaborating with vendors, service providers, and others involved in the shipment/receipt of
products. This position reports to the Production Supervisor.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspect/rewind printed label products to ensure that they meet quality standards
- Ensure products meet customer expectations based on company objectives

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to support our manufacturing operations. You will provide key analysis and insights to guide decision making, and provide strong partnership to facility manufacturing teams to ensure the financial accounting and reporting objectives are met. The Staff Accountant will ensure accounting/reporting is done in a timely and accurate manner and in accordance with company policies. This position reports to the Controller.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Month end close activities including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations and report preparation
- Provide accurate and timely financial and operational and reporting
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Cash management including daily cash report, bank reconciliations, and short-term projections
- Ensure revenue, cost of sales and general expenses are recorded accurately
- Monitor and analyze manufacturing variances to understand root causes, propose correcting journal entries (when required), and identify areas for improvement
- Provide finance support for Lean Manufacturing initiatives at the manufacturing level
- Instill strong cost control and planning discipline to assist management in controlling costs
- Exhibit necessary ERP system proficiency for both finance and other facility functions
- Work with operations to ensure inventory and related costs are recorded correctly on a monthly basis
REQUIREMENTS
- Prior work experience, as a manufacturing cost accountant, is required to assume the duties of this role
- Understanding of inventory management and costs
- NetSuite strongly desired
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- CPA, CMA or MBA is a plus

The VP of Finance/Chief Financial Officer will supervise all financial tasks of our company and ensure we
use capital and resources beneficially. Responsibilities include creating forecasting models,
assessing risk in investments and ensuring all accounting activities comply with regulations.
To be successful in this role, you should have experience crafting financial strategies and
managing accounting teams in a fast paced environment. This position reports directly to the
President/Co-Founder.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Own the corporate financial model, financial planning, forecasting, and cash vs. burn tracking
- Provide financial and strategic thought leadership supported by rigorous analysis, with a focus on business planning, corporate strategy, and capital allocation
- Develop reporting systems for senior leadership and other departments to accurately track financials, KPIs, and variance reporting
- Partner with senior leadership across the company as the Finance team builds forecasts and budgets, tracks performance, identifies risks and opportunities, and supports strategic business initiatives to accelerate growth
- Ensure accuracy in all financial statements, cash movement, tax compliance, and KPI reporting
- Lead, manage, and grow a strong Finance team
- Forecast monthly, quarterly and annual results

REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- MBA and/or CPA highly desired.
- Proven work experience as a VP of Finance, Director of Finance, or similar role, particular preference given to candidates with CP Packaging experience.

The Finishing Press Operator is responsible for operating our hybrid finishing/printing presses to produce quality color matched, finished products. S/he will maintain the safety, quality, maintenance of the equipment and ensure good manufacturing practices. The ideal candidate should have deep familiarity with finishing press operations, substrates, inks, and finishing processes. The ability to operate large format printers and finishing is a plus. This role reports to the Production Manager or Supervisor.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform the setup and operation of the finishing press.
- Ensure the press room is stocked with needed supplies, i.e., ink, film, stock, etc.
- Maintain and clean press before and after each shift.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of problems during machine operation.
- Ensure that regular and preventative maintenance procedures are carried out.
- Ensure all safety devices and guards are fully operational and that safety procedures are being observed.
- Ensure that machines are producing quality products by managing periodic checks on output.
- Record all production performance, counts, downtime and other quality or production related information as required.
- Meet specified production performance targets.
- Participate in production process improvement efforts.
- Visually inspect products for quality checks, registration, ink coverage, and numbering sequence.
- Perform calibrations and maintain consistent output of color, finish and registration.
- Assist in QC, Shipping and Delivery when needed to maintain a proper lead time for all products.

The Indigo Press Operator operates and maintains digital presses that produce printed labels. The operator is usually responsible for operating more than one piece of digital press equipment, including maintenance, troubleshooting and repair. The ideal candidate should have deep familiarity with finishing press operations, substrates, inks, and finishing processes. The ability to operate large format printers and finishing is a plus. This role reports to the Production Manager or Supervisor.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate HP Indigo press
- Read and understand orders to assure correct materials are produced to company standards
- Responsible for pulling appropriate stock, make ready of machine, color match consistency, and production runs
- Monitor print process to ensure print quality and recognize when adjustments are necessary
- Maintains equipment, troubleshoots equipment problems, performs prescribed preventative maintenance on equipment as required and identify repairs if needed
- Tracks and records all consumables and through-put of equipment
- Keeps color profiles necessary for consistency and calibration

The Director of Information Systems provides leadership and overall management direction for the full range of information system activities at Calyx. Responsible and accountable for development and implementation of results focused, innovative solutions to a wide range of activities related to technology, process improvement, and project management that serve to support effective business operations, improve performance, and achieve Organizational goals.. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define and manage the Calyx tech stack in support of all company goals.
- Assume ownership, including license management, of key Calyx technology platforms.
- Define and implement requirements for the deployment, augmentation, customization, integration, security and ultimate decommissioning of technology systems.
- Lead a team of project managers, consultants, and a systems administrator to continue the build out of additional functionality to support business scalability.
- Identify, research, validate, and, if warranted, build new technology solutions that aid in the growth and execution of our business.
- Drive key technical initiatives leading to improvements in efficiency, reporting, and company-wide visibility to appropriately support Calyx.
- Provide regular updates on project / program status to Senior Leadership and Calyx as a whole including wins and losses respectively.

The Production Manager will work at our Salt Lake City facility (Spaceship) and is crucial in the expansion of Calyx’s core operations and products. With a data driven approach and clear understanding of how to build out the team, process, and facility this person will be responsible for management and execution of label manufacturing, application, and product development. They will report directly to the VP of Operations and will serve as an Operational leader in manufacturing. While there are clear objectives to supporting our current business, there is substantial opportunity to seek out new opportunities, develop scalable processes and systems, and work with cutting edge technologies. In addition to this, they will champion both quality and sustainability that is on par with the rest of the Calyx product offerings #quality-does-not-cut-corners / #sustainability-is-multi-dimensional.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the entire operation at Spaceship including preparation, planning, scheduling, production, and quality
- Understands and owns the Spaceship P&L, which includes outsourced production as needed to support Calyx goals
- Develop and execute the GTM process for new product development within print and finishing to our current and future customers
- Champion reporting on key metrics surrounding financial and operational success
- Collaborates with Operations to manage supplies relating to print and finishing
- Coordinates with key vendors that help execute print and application portions of the Order to Delivery process
- Develop and execute key processes and procedures that support scalability and standardization beyond one cell and one shift
- Further develop safety procedures for all manufacturing team members and hold the team accountable through training, onboarding, and consistent re-evaluation
- Establish a training program to support role redundancy, career development, and general onboarding for new employees
- Create and monitor preventative maintenance schedules to keep equipment down-time to a minimum including cross-functional collaboration around a production calendar
REQUIREMENTS
- College degree in business administration, engineering, or other related field
- 6-8 years of experience in print production
- 3-5 years or management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Deep understanding of manufacturing principles including providing analytical detail around performance, opportunities, and issues (LEAN experience is a plus)

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to support our manufacturing operations. You will provide key analysis and insights to guide decision making, and provide strong partnership to facility manufacturing teams to ensure the financial accounting and reporting objectives are met. The Staff Accountant will ensure accounting/reporting is done in a timely and accurate manner and in accordance with company policies.
Responsibilities
- Provides accurate and timely operational performance reporting.
- Uses analytical techniques and metrics to improve operational performance and lower unit costs.
- Provides finance support for Lean Manufacturing initiatives at the manufacturing level.
- Instills strong cost control and planning discipline to assist management in controlling manufacturing costs.
- Supports the monthly forecast process for the manufacturing facility.
- Supports the annual business planning process for the facility, including preparation of the financial manufacturing business plan and product standard cost inputs.
- Provides cost estimates for innovation and cost reduction projects.
- Identifies cost/performance improvement opportunities.
- Ensures the accuracy and integrity of accounting systems and strict compliance to all company policies, procedures and controls.
- Exhibits necessary ERP system proficiency for both finance and other facility functions (NetSuite experience required).
- Monitors accounting controls, including maintenance and review of all Bills of Material.
- Accumulates and records defined period facility manufacturing costs.
- Monitors cost and inventory variances and reports to management for the facility.
- Ensures the accuracy of monthly closing of books, including preparation of month-end journal entries and maintaining the general ledger.
- Performs analysis of all manufacturing costs and variances; prepares facility cost statements.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of accounting and costing/Analysis-related positions
- Minimum of 5 years' NetSuite costing experience preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- CPA, CMA or MBA is a plus
- CPG and Lean Manufacturing background highly desired
- Strong Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong attention to details and highly organized
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, and speak effectively before groups of customers, employees and senior management of the organization
- Probability, statistical inference, and mathematical skills highly desired

As a Junior Graphic Designer at Calyx, you will work collaboratively within the Creative team to support the Revenue organization through thoughtful, intentional design and eye-catching brand creative. Your body of work reflects and elevates fundamental design and branding principles. You’ll use detailed knowledge of Calyx’s products and offerings to effectively communicate with partners and consistently achieve the desired project goals. You are creative, analytical, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. You want to join a thriving creative community of designers and work with a team united by passion for continuously improving our products, services, and processes. This role sits within the Creative Services department and reports to the Director, Creative Services.
Responsibilities:
- Design and execute high-quality internal and external creative initiatives from conception to completion, supporting creative team members as-needed
- Establish and maintain a high standard for on-brand, on-trend, and eye-catching creative output
- Manage ongoing creative client communications to build and maintain trusted client relationships
- Present creative ideas and concepts to internal and external stakeholders, effectively communicating creative intention and influencing client decisions
- Represent the creative team and creative interests in cross-departmental meetings
- Manage vendor communications and relationships
- Develop and maintain working knowledge of general cannabis packaging compliance needs and stay abreast of the latest creative and cannabis industry consumer trends
- Maintain project ownership, status, deadlines, and client communication records through utilization of project management tools
- Continuously evaluate, identify, and recommend opportunities for creative process improvement, updating existing SOPs as needed

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training
- Prior creative industry experience encouraged
- High level of proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, with specialties in Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
- A strong portfolio or body of work that shows excellent creative, typography and composition skills, and demonstrated mastery of fundamental design principles
- Ability to effectively learn new systems and skills, and adapt to evolving processes
- Working knowledge of the print production process, including preparing creative files for industry standard print methods is a plus
- Strong background in customer service and relationship building
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, navigate competing priorities, and deliver successful projects on time

- Evaluate (preflight), customer supplied graphics files
- Compare preflight findings to identified specifications from corresponding prep memos
- Create imposed layouts and project folders and manage project file content
- Create proofs and submit approval documentation
- Manipulate files to match specifications
- File output to rip
- Confirm graphics to die line fit and evaluate graphic orientation to die orientation
- Create, manipulate and attach variable data files to artwork
- Other duties as assigned

- 3+ years of direct professional experience
- Proficiency in one or more design programs (ie. Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign etc)

We are currently searching for an experienced and highly analytical Prepress Technicianto join our production department. We are currently searching for an experienced and highly analytical Digital Printing QC/Shipping Technician to join our production department. As a quality inspector, you will adhere to the quality and safety regulations of our company to ensure that all our products meet quality expectations. You will also be responsible for managing the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies, as well as collaborating with vendors, service providers, and others involved in the shipment/receipt of products.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect/rewind printed label products to ensure that they meet quality standards
- Ensure products meet customer expectations based on company objectives
- Communicate the results of inspections and put forward corrective suggestions
- Collaborate and communicate with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products
- Help track, trace, and update the status of incoming and outgoing shipments
- Organize and ship sample kits to prospective customers
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a quality control inspector in the digital printing industry preferred
- Proficient in Google and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong regard for quality assurance according to company standards
- Good knowledge about industry products and processes
- Basic mathematical arithmetic

The People & Culture Manager will work collaboratively with the VP of People & Culture to support the Calyx Team with effective recruiting, compensation and benefits strategies designed to attract and retain a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization. In addition, this role provides general administrative support to the human resources department. The primary duties of this position consist of recruiting and onboarding, creating and maintaining employee files, general human resources administration, and projects as assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Assist VP of Human Resources with recruiting lifecycle, including sourcing candidates, interviews, and ongoing candidate communication
- Process all new hire paperwork (i.e. E-verify processing; I-9 record keeping; processing background checks; filing all documents/personnel files)
- Collaborate with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
- Assist with HRIS documentation/updates
- Ensure HR data is accurate and perform regular audits to identify and correct any data discrepancies
- Assist with maintaining and updating HR-related documentation
- Produce and present reports on HR metrics/KPIs
- Other tasks and projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in human resources preferred
- 3-5 years of human resources generalist experience
- HR certification a plus
- Excellent communication skills (both written and oral), interpersonal skills, ability to maintain confidentiality and analytical/problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage projects and daily functions with discretion and minimal supervision
- This position requires strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Proficient knowledge of Google Suite, Microsoft Office, HRIS and ATS platforms
