ABOUT THE COMPANY
Big Max Burger Co is what happens when a fine dining chef takes his spin an all-american classic: the hamburger. Located in upper Queen Anne from Chef Maximillian Petty, Big Max Burger Co is a quick service
“fine fast food” restaurant offering indoor and outdoor dining and take out to burger lovers across Seattle.
SUMMARY
The General Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of Big Max Burger Co, including the selection, development, and performance management of employees. Additionally, the General Manager oversees inventory, optimizes profits, and ensures customers enjoy their dining experience. The General
Manager reports to the Director of Operations and Executive Chef.
HOSPITALITY STANDARDS
- Refine service manual and standards for Big Max Burger Co
- “Manager on Duty” during scheduled shifts
- Attend to customer requests/inquiry/problems in a manner reflective of Eden Hill, LLC and Chef Maximillian Petty
- Use proper judgment to escalate customer complaints promptly
- Attend all manager and staff meetings
- Maintain professional restaurant standards, including restaurant cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards
CULINARY
- Oversee execution of all services
- Maintain quality control standards
- Work with Kitchen Manager and Executive Chef on menu development, keeping food costs at or below 25%
- Research and develop latest trends in restaurant and hospitality.
STAFF
- Responsible for leading, training, and supervising all staff.
- Responsible for interviewing, selection, and onboarding process of new hires.
- Responsible for corrective feedback and termination of underperforming employees.
- Coordinate and manage employee schedules
- Work with ownership to develop sales targets
- Ensure compliance with Employee standards, including collecting proper documentation (license, passport, etc & food handler’s permit)
- Coordinate and strategize to keep labor cost at or below 32%.
OPERATIONS
- Set-up and maintenance of Point of Sale system, including online ordering.
- Set-up and maintenance of third party delivery services.
- Field and manage private event inquiries and execute, coordinating with Operations Director, and Executive Chef when necessary
- Maintain menu accuracy on printed materials and website
- Maintain stock for all FOH needs, including beverages (beer, wine, non-alcoholics, liquor), smallwares, glassware, packaging, etc.
- Oversee management of retail stock.
- Research and develop beverage offerings.
- Ensure compliance with Washington State Liquor & Cannabis Board and King County Health Department
- Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, supply, utility and labor costs
- Responsible for ensuring that all financial (invoices, reporting) and personnel/payroll related administrative duties are completed accurately, on time and in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Ensure proper security procedures are in place to protect employees, guests, and company assets
- Complete monthly inventory
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
- Provide a strong presence in local community representing Big Max Burger Co/Eden Hill brand within Seattle and at industry functions

- Keeps Executive Chef and Operations Manager promptly and fully informed of all issues (i.e. problems, unusual matters of significance and positive events) and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action.
- Completes job responsibilities and performance objectives in a timely and effective manner and in accordance with Big Max Burger Co policies and procedures. ?
- Maintains a favorable working relationship with all company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity and efficiency/effectiveness. ?

- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

WORKING CONDITIONS
- Hours may vary if manager must fill in for his/her employees or if emergencies arise (typical work week
= 50 hours). ?
- Ability to perform all functions at the restaurant level. ?
- Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting products and supplies weighing 45 pounds, and repetitive hand and wrist motion. ?
- Work with hot, cold, and hazardous equipment as well as operates phones, computers, copiers, and other office equipment.

COMPENSATION
- Annual salary: $70,000 - $80,000
