COMPANY OVERVIEW
Beach Fire Cannabis is currently in pre-opening phase and is looking for a highly motivated, results oriented, individuals to work in our inventory/retail specialist position.
JOB SUMMARY
The Inventory/Retail Specialist position will be responsible for maintaining timely and accurate inventory records in compliance with State regulations in order to efficiently support the supply and demand of the retail operations. The Inventory/Retail Specialist will also maintain the retail sales floors product merchandising, ensuring an appealing, organized and efficient retail environment, while promoting exceptional customer service.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Inventory
- Coordinates receiving, transfer and/or movement of all products within the retail store.
- Enters product received into inventory tracking software in a timely manner.
- Ensure product matches manifest description.
- Maintain a database with SKU/UPC numbers; ensure all reconciliation is regularly completed including matching physical inventory to METRC inventory.
- Completes periodic and random audits for internal and state compliance.
- Performs daily, weekly and monthly store inventory cycle count and inventory reconciliation.
- Researches and reports to management inventory discrepancies, including but not limited to, out of balance circumstances, lost or missing inventory, or inventory adjustments.
- Maintain active knowledge of incoming inventory and inventory levels on hand.
- Record and monitor all items with shelf-life daily and notify Management when material has expired or is damaged.
- Organize and maintain inventory storage area for efficient material storage and handling.
- Provide hands-on employee training of inventory tracking system and inventory procedures, including but limited to, store SOP's for intake, packaging, labeling and inventory tracking.
- Maintain compliance with local and state regulations, company policies and SOPs.
- May fulfill sales orders on an as needed basis.
Retail Floor
- Arranges retail displays for cannabis and non-cannabis merchandise.
- Keeps retail displays and floor organized and stocked in order to create a pleasant and welcoming environment.
- Ensures retail floor is in compliance with state regulations.
- Ensures product pricing displayed is accurate, including any signage/displays pertaining to discounts or specials.
- Maintains knowledge of all existing products on the retail floor. Stays informed of any new product that fits the Beach Fire Cannabis brand.
- Answers product related questions.
- Builds professional relationships with customers to promote new and repeat business.
- May check customer ID’s or process payments as necessary.
Other
- May be assigned to receptionist duties to fill in for absences or breaks when necessary.
- Delivers upon core customer service values.
- Adhere to all safety standards and practices.
- Adhere to company policy regarding strict confidentiality.
- Required to attend on-going training sessions and staff meetings.
- May be required to open/close store as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities
- Must be at least 21 years or older.
- High school diploma or a General Education Diploma (GED).
- Requires at least six (6) months of retail inventory or retail merchandising experience or a combination of both.
- Requires experience with POS and inventory tracking systems.
· Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be able to pass all required background investigation checks, including any pre-employment screening as a condition of employment.
- Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, holidays and/or days off and variable shifts.
- Must have excellent organizational skills, high attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal/written and organization skills.
· Must be able to work independently with little supervision.
- Must be able to work with the general public.
- Must successfully pass a job interview.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Cannabis related inventory or merchandising experience.
- Experience with cannabis retail POS systems, including METRC.
- Current knowledge of State of Michigan regulations.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Must be able to adjust to a changing work. Typing skills and general computer skills and familiarity of Microsoft products. Must possess strong mathematical skills, customer service skills, and cash sales experience. Must have excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information. Must display tact and patience with co-workers.

Laptop computer/PC, multi-line telephone, Point of Sale system/cash register, inventory software.
MENTAL/PHYICAL/WORKING CONDITIONS
Must have the ability to deal with difficult situations and people without losing perspective while remaining positive and professional. Must be able to work productively under strict time restraints with variable deadlines. Must be able to handle guest disputes, which may involve problem solving. Occasion lifting and/or moving objects up to 45lbs. Requires bending, stretching, stooping and climbing a ladder. Using a dolly to move boxes around. Must be able to handle being under constant surveillance and comply with strict regulations. Must practice all safety policies, procedures and standards as set by OSHA.Local travel may be required.

JOB SUMMARY
The Cannabis Store Manager position will be responsible for the oversight, planning, development and/or expanding of our retail cannabis operations, which includes but not limited to, customer service, sales opportunities and strategies, product sourcing and ordering, profitability and key business initiatives, inventory and compliance.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Works with executive team to develop and implement standard operating procedures, including but not limited to, store policies and procedures, opening/closing procedures, inventory management, regulatory compliance enforcement, pricing strategy, product mix, store metrics and goals, marketing strategy, profitability, and expense control and customer satisfaction.
- Responsible for the development and oversight regarding applicable regulations, security, and product inventory.
- Sources/selects products and supplies and places orders.
- Prepares and manages annual budget and expenditures for business operations and development.
- Prepares and manages employee work schedules.
- Prepares reports on revenue and profitability activity.
- Identifies underperforming products or inefficient processes and develops strategies to remerchandise, replace or eliminate products to improve sales or deficiencies.
- Develops, oversees and ensures highest quality of customer service. Solicits feedback in order to understand customer needs.
- Trains staff on product information (e.g. cannabis strains, edibles, topicals, concentrates, consumption mechanisms, etc.), opening/closing procedures, store security, point of sales (POS) operation, cash handling procedures, product merchandising, store compliance, customer service standards and other store operations.
- Develops and oversees customer delivery protocols and compliance.
- Ensures all customer complaints have follow up in a timely manner and presents a positive image for the company.
- Ensures operation, employees, security, cash handling and inventory is 100% compliant with applicable cannabis regulations and established store policies, procedures and standards.
- Oversees and is responsible for store cleanliness and visual appeal of store layout.
- Ensures all sensitive information or documentation is handled in a confidential manner.
- Stays informed regarding market conditions, business opportunities, and product knowledge and industry specific legislation.
- Evaluates and reviews employee performance and recommends training opportunities as necessary.
- Ensures the safety and security of all employees and customers by adhering to established safety standards.
- Oversees facility management and repairs.
- Recommend and monitor marketing strategies in the cannabis industry.
- Builds and maintains relationships with vendors.
- Conducts or oversees interviewing, hiring, onboarding and termination of employees.
- Delivers upon core customer service values.
- Adhere to company policy regarding strict confidentiality.
- Required to attend on-going training sessions and staff meetings.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities
- Must be at least 21 years or older.
- Bachelor of Science in Business Administration or Business Management and two (2) years of experience as a manager or above in the cannabis retail environment.
- OR
- Associates Degree in Business Administration or Business Management and four (4) years of experience as a manager or above in the cannabis retail environment.
- OR
- High School Diploma or GED and Six (6) or more years of experience as a manager or above in the cannabis retail environment
- Requires significant experience and proficiency with revenue and cost analysis, inventory management, theft control and retail pricing strategies.
- Requires significant experience with managing budgets, profit and loss statements, and deposits.
- Must be highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite specifically in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Must have the ability to utilize software programs (inventory, POS, websites, etc.) specifically made for cannabis retail store operations.
- Must possess mathematical ability to calculate metric weights and conversions.
- Must be able to pass all required background investigation checks, including a drug and alcohol screen as a condition of employment.
- Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, holidays and/or days off and variable shifts.
- Must have exceptional communication skills, both verbal/written and organization skills.
- Must possess knowledge of cannabis products and ability to work with the general public.
- Must possess a valid unrestricted driver’s license and be insurable by the insurance carrier.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must be able to adjust to a fast paced work environment. Working knowledge of the cannabis industry, point of sales (POS), applicant tracking, time and attendance and inventory systems. Typing skills and general computer skills and familiarity of Microsoft products. Must possess strong mathematical skills, customer service, financial management, inventory control, computer knowledge and cash sales experience. Must have excellent organizational, decision making and communication skills. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct oversight of assistant managers and indirect oversight over budtenders, receptionist, delivery positions, and other positions as necessary.
- Task delegation to achieve maximum financial results.
- Reinforcement of all company policies and procedures.
- Monitor department expenditures, compliance, and inventory.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of all store operations and products.
- Monitor and take part or perform interviews.
- Staff Performance Evaluations, goal setting, attendance, scheduling, and employee file maintenance.
- Employee hiring and corrective actions including terminations.
- Coordinate with staff for daily operations.
