PURPOSE
The Sales Representative is responsible for achieving maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration within an assigned territory by effectively marketing and selling Avitas products.
Promotes, sells and secures orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Dutiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Manage a portfolio of accounts to achieve long-term success
- Develop positive relationships with customers and distributors
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of the company and its products
- Understand and adhere to all applicable regulations and company policies & procedures
- Maintain a high level of knowledge regarding the industry, products, and regulations
- Act as the customers’ primary point of contact and handle customers’ individual needs
- Resolve conflicts and provide solutions to customers in a timely manner
- Report regularly and as requested on the status of accounts and transactions
- Suggest actions to improve sales performance and identify opportunities for growth
- Raise awareness of company’s brands in the marketplace by using marketing tools, attending promotional and industry events, and providing training to dispensary staff
- Seek unique and creative ways to promote company’s brands within scope of authority
- Represent Avitas at industry events
- Track and report on customer preferences, and provide feedback and data to Marketing and Sales regarding customer requests and event outcomes
- Foster a workplace that upholds Avitas’ aim to be the Best Place to Work, Shop and Invest in Cannabis
- Other duties as assigned, or any reasonable request from any member of management
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. General
- Regulations require that incumbent be at least 21 years of age and able to obtain and maintain marijuana work credentials – applicable marijuana licensing regulations may disqualify individuals with certain criminal convictions
Education/Experience:
- A four-year degree with a focus in Business or Marketing is preferred
- Proven work experience as a sales account manager/executive is required
- Cannabis industry experience in a licensed operation/facility is strongly preferred
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communications and negotiations skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
- Experience with CSR software
- Ability to deliver an excellent customer experience
- High level of attention to detail
- Understanding of sales performance metrics
- Professional demeanor, strong work ethic, ability to initiate and follow through on work independently and adapt to changing priorities
- Able to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to work a nontraditional schedule as needed, including evening and weekend work
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

- Primarily an office/indoor environment with minimal exposure to weather. Typically minimal noise levels.
- Periodically working in company grow & processing facilities – warehouse environment with artificial lighting and ventilation, and potential for mold exposure and allergic reaction or hypersensitivity to the marijuana plants. PPE may be recommended in certain parts of the warehouse.
- Frequently travel to company locations, industry events, and customer locations.
PHYSICAL CONDITIONS

Successful marijuana producer/processor located in Arlington, WA is seeking a full-time Sales Representative to grow existing accounts and develop new relationships with retailers in the Western WA recreational market. The Sales Representative is responsible for achieving maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration by effectively marketing and selling company products.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: *Develop and Maintain Sales Opportunities*Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in assigned territory to generate new business for company products*Make telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers.*Research sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential.*Analyze the territory/market's potential and determine the value of existing and prospective customers value to the organization*Create and manage a customer value plan for existing customers highlighting profile, share and value opportunities.*Identify advantages and compare organization's products with competitors products*Plan and organize personal sales strategy by maximizing the Return on Time Investment for the territory.*Perform administrative duties, such as preparing sales reports, sales records and filing expense account reports.
Order Preparation, Distribution and Follow-Up*Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers*Prepare and distribute invoices for customer approval and to initiate the delivery process*Coordinate with Processing Manager to ensure accurate inventory availability*Deliver orders to retail customers on an as-needed basis*Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
Advertising, Promotion and Representation*Supply management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.*Maintain awareness of product innovations, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas.*Negotiate with retail merchants to improve product exposure, such as shelf positioning and advertising.*Participate in trade shows, marketing events and educational training for retail partners*Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS*Minimum of 2 years sales experience*Extensive knowledge of cannabis products*Excellent communication and customer service skills*Able to handle broad tasks independently with little or no supervision*Present a clean, professional and positive image and appearance*Must be punctual and dependable in delivering results*Highly skilled and experience in the use of computer software such as Excel and Word*Ability to sit/stand for up to 8 hours per day*Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basis*Must be 21 years of age or older to comply with state regulations*Must have a valid Washington State Driver's License and a clean driving record to operate company vehicle for delivery*Reliable personal transportation and ability/willingness to drive for business purposes*Ability to pass a criminal background check
WORK SCHEDULEWork hours are typically Monday- Friday; however, this position requires a high level of scheduling flexibility and willoccasionally include evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
