The Role
This position will set and implement the organizational-wide HR strategies while also supporting the day-to-day operations of the department. As a key member of the leadership team, the Director of HR will lead the Human Resource initiative to provide an employee oriented, high-performance culture that embraces staff empowerment, quality, productivity, goal attainment, and organizational growth. Responsibilities
- Makes recommendations to executive management for improvement of the organization on employee matters.
- Works closely with executive leaders and management to advise, counsel, and provide coaching and resolution to address employees’ concerns.
- Leads, guides, and coaches all members of the HR team.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources.
- Develops and leads human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development.
- Leads the recruiting and hiring practices and procedures necessary to recruit, hire, and retain top talent.
- Establishes and oversees the company wage and salary structure, pay policies, and oversees the variable pay systems within the company including bonuses and raises.
- Manages employee communication and feedback through avenues such as company meetings, employee engagement surveys, employee focus groups, and one-on-one meetings.
- Effectively communicates changes in organization’s policies and procedures to all staff.
- Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organizations human resource information system (HRIS) and make recommendations based on findings.
- Reports updates of the HR strategic plan to the Board of Directors on a semi-annual basis.
- Oversees the bi-weekly payroll process.
- Develops and implements departmental budget.

- Work with internal teams to plan pre, during, and post-show promotional activities, including email campaigns, on-site events, lead-retrieval, speaking opportunities, whitepaper submissions, etc.

- Lead, develop, and manage the strategy, tactics, and creative direction for all marketing and business development initiatives for the company.
- Work cross-functionally with the business to execute relevant and timely campaigns/projects to help grow the company, acquire new clients, retain existing clients, and assist in identifying new areas for the company to enter.
- Develops and manages sales/marketing operating budgets.
- Plans and oversees advertising and promotion activities including print, web, digital media, and direct mail.
- Builds and maintains relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensures effective control of marketing results and takes corrective action to guarantee that achievement of marketing objectives falls within designated budgets.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers, top customers, and key strategic partners.
- Represents company at trade association meetings to promote A2LA services.
- Directs growth and development of the A2LA membership program.
- Responsible for oversight, compliance, and implementation of Contracts.
- Perform related duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- You have a well-rounded understanding of typical marketing and sales processes and team structures
- You have experience developing and communicating key metrics and success criteria across marketing and sales programs
- You have a proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives, hitting goals, and succeeding in a complex and fast-moving environment
- You have a proven track record of forming collaborative relationships with senior leadership while navigating competing priorities and managing expectations
- Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, business administration or related field.
- 10+ years of related sales and marketing experience, preferable in leadership
- Previous experience with leadership and supervising
- Advanced CRM experience, preferably Salesforce
- Experience with International Organization for Standardization
- Advanced computer proficiency (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
