Processor Extraction Technician
AHI Group, LLC is seeking a full-time experienced Extraction Technician to assist with all extraction operations.
The Extraction Technician is responsible for all operations in the manufacturing lab where the company produces marijuana products to include: product extractions, research and development, as well as factory settings for packaging of product for distribution.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Preparing equipment and plant materials for extraction
- Operating highly sophisticated extraction equipment
- Processing concentrates and extracts
- Cleaning and maintenance of extraction equipment and laboratory facility
- Ensuring the laboratory is well-stocked
- Up to date with technical developments, especially those which can save time and improve reliability
- Following and ensuring strict safety procedures and safety checks.
- Maintains glassware by picking-up, cleaning, washing, sterilizing, and distributing.
- Keeps laboratory supplies ready by inventorying stock and verifying receipt.
- Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions.
- Documents information by maintaining daily logs and equipment record books.
- Resolves problems by examining and evaluating data; selecting corrective steps.
- Completes projects by assisting processors;attending and participating in meetings.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
- Enhances laboratory and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
- Prepares customer orders by fulfilling shipment requirements including the packaging
- Ability to listen well and communicate effectively orally and in writing with various audiences.
- Ability to use initiative and independent judgment appropriately.
- Ability to interpret, understand, and comply with complex statutes, ordinances, regulations, standards, and laws.
- Understanding of applicable federal, stateand local laws and regulations as they pertain to the industry, personnel law, safety regulations, local municipal codes and organizational rules, regulations, directives and standard operating procedures.
- Must have strong communication skills with the ability to express ideas clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats.
- Ability to use standard office equipment, computer equipment and software including word processing, data base management, METRC, spreadsheet applications and electronic mail.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Required Skills and Competencies * 2-4 years’ experience in a lab setting preferred
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in the use of cannabis extraction equipment
- Experience and understanding of the variety of tasks required in working in a lab setting.
- Must possess and maintain a Support Employee badge from the MMCC for Maryland
- Ability to work independently, manage projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Procession Extraction Equipment experience IS A PLUS
- Must be able to work with others in a collaborative environment.
Salary: $50,000 - $55,000 per year, based on experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

- Hollywood, MD 20636: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

- Participate in developing and implementing operational rules, regulations, policies, and procedures to advance AHI’s mission, vision, goals, and objectives.
- Manage, supervise and direct the activities of assigned staff, and make recommendations regarding hiring, discipline, termination or advancement of employees.
- Implement processing policies and ensure staff follows best practices.
- Oversee and manage quality product inventory and financial records.
- Work with AHI’s Marketing team on marketing, promotions and the maintenance of reports as they pertain to the daily operations and financials of the processing facility.
- Ensure the facility is in compliance with security, inventory and local and state regulations.
- Manage financial records and cash handling procedures.
- Ensure the safety of every employee.
- Provide education and development for staff about medical cannabis strains.
- Work with AHI’s management team to create budgets and forecast sales.
- Set sales, service, and profit goals and lead staff to exceed them.
- Work with wholesalers to negotiate and procure an adequate supply of quality products
- Fulfill staffing needs and coordinate scheduling.
- Serve as a liaison to the local community.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of every product and strain as well as industry-wide product knowledge.
- Review performance of employees on a regular basis.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Cannabis experience required.
- At least 3-5years in a supervisory or management role.
- Must have strong work ethic, attention to detail, strong communication and leadership skills, and be proactive.
- Continuously open to constructive, developmental feedback.
- High level of interpersonal skills in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment, often working cross functionally.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be 21+ years or older.
- Must pass any and all required background checks.
- Possess valid driver’s license or state ID.
- Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
- Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 30 pounds (100 pounds with assistance).
This job function may include walking or standing for extended periods of time, as well as stooping, bending over and/or crouching.
