Perform soil and tissue sampling. Create crop plans and budgets. Plan and operate irrigation systems. Schedule and perform maintenance and repairs on agricultural equipment.

2+ years managing employees in an agricultural setting. 5+ years of high value or row crop growing experience on a minimum of 100 acres. Experience with a variety of ag technology. Experience with drip irrigation, center pivots, and wheel lines preferred.
Excellent communication (written and oral) and math skills. Familiarity with organic farming systems and practices. Ability to lead by example and facilitate collaboration with all team members, on farm and other business departments. Basic understanding of finance and administration within an ag business.
Excellent PC and technical skills (Microsoft and Google Suite). Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent combination of education, training and related work experience in agriculture. Agricultural Business, Agronomy or Agricultural Production Management degree strongly preferred. Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) or Professional Certified Agronomist (PCAg) certifications strongly preferred.
Background with soil science, field management, plant genetics, pest management and irrigation strongly preferred. Veterans strongly encouraged to apply. We’re hiring for a Director of Operations Cannabis to work on building out their 300,000 sq ft indoor grow facility in Oakland County, MI just north of Auburn Hills. In this role you would be focused on project management, streamlining processes, expanding the operations, and working closely with the owners on overall short and long-term strategy for the operation. You would also be working on the build-out of a retail facility in the same county as well as expanding on their second indoor grow operation in Grand Rapids, MI. This is the top-role in the organization leading that business as the General Manager.
