We are looking for a Packaging Processing Technician to work in our Clinton cultivation and manufacturing facility, preparing products for our patients and customers.

Position Overview:
The Packaging and Processing Technician is responsible for handling and processing dry plant material, running standard production machinery, weighing, manicuring, inspecting and assisting with general packaging of products within our facility. This position is an integral piece of ensuring that only the highest-quality, well-manicured cannabis flower is packaged for sale to our patients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently trim flower according to Affinity standard operating procedures (SOPs) and good manufacturing practices (GMP).
- Effectively prepare flower material for pre-roll production and run the basic machinery to roll pre-rolls.
- Accurately perform filling, packaging, and labeling of products within the production facility. This includes, but is not limited to bulk flower, pre-rolls, cartridges, concentrates, edibles, and other marijuana infused products.
- Continuously monitor the quality of all items associated with filling, packaging, and labeling in order to minimize waste or rework.
- Process drying rooms, scan all products, and prepare room to be re-filled
- Fill and monitor Cure room under guidance of management
- Make sure all production areas and equipment are always clean and sanitized according to Affinity standard operating procedures.
- Work as a member of a fast-paced team environment to help the team meet group goals.
- Hand trim cannabis flower from plants in a quick and efficient manner, while ensuring high quality standards are met.
- Remove fan leaves and trunks after harvest to prepare for drying process.
- Maintain high level of cleanliness of all processing equipment / areas and sanitation practices .
- Report any identifiable occurrence of mold, mildew, seeds, pests, or pathogens to the Processing Manager.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Remain in compliance with local, state, federal, and internal regulations for working in the cannabis industry.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must pass CORI, background and social media background checks.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Experience in the cannabis industry preferred but not required.
- Be capable of frequent and repetitive hand movements.
- Be able to bend, squat, crouch, kneel, and walk intermittently throughout the day.
- Able to sit/stand for prolonged periods (4-6 hours at a time)
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong desire to produce a high-quality product
- Able to meet target production rates.
- Able to work with small hand tools consistently throughout an 8-hour shift.

- Must be dependable, professional, able to follow instructions, and respond to management direction.

Objectives:

Position Overview:

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist senior team members in processing cannabis biomass by way of supercritical fluid extraction (SFE)
- Refine crude cannabis oil to produce high purity active desired ingredients for consumables
- Maintain production logbooks pertaining to extraction and refinement
- Maintain daily logbooks pertaining to equipment maintenance, laboratory balances and laboratory environment.
- Digitally upload production logs to excel
- Carry out sampling protocols for extraction, kitchen and cultivation

Position Overview
The Security Specialist works within the security team to implement security policies and procedures for our W. - Verify all products prior to sale are added in LeafLogix correctly to include: price, useable weight, product type, and METRC barcode.
- Maintain all inventory tracking systems update every morning and evening. Notify Production and Compliance Manager of any identification of inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Track and maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing products
- Receive inventory
- Document and enter all inventory in METRC and LeafLogix; ensure clear and accurate physical labeling.
- Log all transfers from bulk inventory items into finished packaged sellable units
- Track and record all product related waste in compliance with state regulations
- Work with Production and Compliance Manager on:
- Regular inventory product audits
- Inventory levels and packaging planning
- Ensuring widespread compliance with state/local regulations, security protocols, access protocols, and company policies, procedures, and SOPs

Affinity, a Massachusetts medical marijuana company, is looking for a Retail Dispensary Manager to oversee activities at our soon-to-open West Springfield dispensary. The Retail Dispensary Manager must mesh well with our team individuals who are outstanding in their profession and are committed to delivering differentiated and superior results in an increasingly popular market.
Experience in the cannabis industry is a huge plus, but not required. The ability to lead, deliver a great customer experience, educate and motivate colleagues, and build a cohesive team will help us ensure Affinity remains the place where quality people work and prepare distinctive, quality experiences for our patients and customers.
Responsibilities:
Oversight / Leadership
- Implement all operational rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, and ensure strict compliance
- Acquire and maintain a current and thorough understanding of Massachusetts state laws and regulations governing cannabis
- Manage, supervise, and direct the activities of all assigned staff and make recommendations regarding hiring, disciplining, terminating, and promoting employees
- Define staffing levels and conduct employee recruitment
- Prepare and enforce employee work schedules
- Manage and inspire staff to deliver the highest levels of customer service and experience
- Oversee store inventory, and coordinate timely purchases and deliveries with appropriate personnel; maintain a broad selection of products at varied / tiered pricing
- Evaluate dispensary processes to ensure maximum efficiency
- Ensure the safety and satisfaction of all patients and employee
Sales / Outreach
- Communicate and coordinate with the Cannabis Control Commission, law enforcement, vendors, landlord, and local community as needed
- Implement in-store brand sales marketing strategies and promotions to increase patient flow and community awareness
- Prepare educational materials / handouts for patient benefit
- Prepare and distribute daily / weekly / monthly newsletters, calendars, and signage to publicize company special product offerings; stimulate sales and move slow-selling inventory
- Oversee planning for special events and holidays
- Operations / Hands-on
- Oversee cash management, daily and weekly, including regular bank deposits and maintaining appropriate change in cash drawer
- Greet patients in person or on the phone; oversee patient intake and renewal procedures
- Drive ongoing staff education on products, strains, consumption methods, dosing, and how to assist patients in selecting products
- Interact with dissatisfied patients to ensure their issues are resolved to both the patients and Company's satisfaction
- Other duties as requested, or as needed to ensure the proper operation of the dispensary
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years old
- Must pass any and all background checks
- Bachelor's degree and/or 3-5 years of retail management experience
- Superior customer service skills
- Ability to communicate clearly, calmly, and in a positive and informative manner
- Computer equipment operations necessary for running an office / retail center (POS systems; Word; Excel; office equipment such as copiers / telephone systems)
- Math skills necessary for basic inventory and cash management
- Excellent attention to detail
- Familiarity with history and varieties of medical marijuana preferred but not required
- Thrives when performing job duties in a fast-paced environment; stays even-keeled during stressful times
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and ethical conduct; absolute reliability and honesty
- Ability to effectively plan and prioritize

Responsibilities
Human Resources
- Onboard new employees implement basic training, manage forms, coordinate IT needs
- Input all new employees into payroll provider platform and set up applicable and necessary deductions; maintain physical backup files
- Collect new employee healthcare forms (application or waiver) and transmit to benefits provider
- Add new employees to company Life Insurance policy; remove employees when ceasing employment
- Update healthcare provider of any changes in employee status
- Address employee benefits questions
- Keep track of employee changes on an Employee Change of Status Form (e.g., raises, promotions, department changes, address changes, direct deposit changes)
- Assist with personnel issues / discipline
- Maintain Employee Handbook
Payroll
- Process payroll
- Audit employee time-sheets at least twice a day, review in/out punches looking for discrepancies. Address discrepancies
- Update the attendance record sheet daily, showing when employees were tardy, absent, or left early
- Process all Time Off Request forms in a timely manner
- Handle all tax / wage garnishments / disability / workmans comp / unemployment claims, appeals, and hearings
- Distribute paychecks to each manager
- Assist employees requesting copies of pay stubs, or with related questions (e.g., time off, deductions)
- Make appropriate changes in payroll platform when an employee resigns or upon termination
- Liaise with payroll contractor daily on inquiries and changes regarding payroll processes
- Suggest improvements to payroll process and work with vendor to implement
State Compliance
- Ensure that all new employees are set up with the appropriate state-mandated appointments
- Maintain an accurate census of all employees and subcontractors
- Keep track of license renewal dates for all employees; ensure licenses are current
- Inform the state of any employee change in status
- Request new badges for all new hires
Recruiting
- Help prepare and post job listings
- Help coordinate job fairs / events, including finding locations nearby that would be suitable
- Assist with recruiting tools and screening administration
General Administrative
- Maintain a company telephone directory with all employees numbers
- Attend monthly staff meetings
- Research, interview, and evaluate new staffing agencies
- Manage temporary employee time-sheets and communications with temporary staffing agencies

Position Overview:
The Processing and Packaging Manager oversees all phases of the department while working closely with supervisors for daily personnel needs and to meet high quality standards. Manage a large team of employees including complex schedule, yield results, employee performance and employee training. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage all steps in the process including intake, drying, curing, and trimming
- Ensure the safe, accurate, and timely production of product packaging

- Understands the proper and safe handling of hazardous materials

- Ensure accurate weighing and inventory; all products are packaged, counted, sorted, and labeled accurately
- Ensure the packaging and processing staff has daily tasks, schedules, and is being efficiently deployed

- Skill in managing physical resources (budgeting, inventories, equipment, materials)
- Develop processes for new products, strains, styles, and types of cannabis
- Make quality control decisions and adjustments as necessary
- Understand and maintain compliance with all CCC rules and regulations and testing requirements

Skills and Abilities:
- 2+ year of working in a commercial cannabis production environment (preferred but not required)

Overview
We are hiring for the position of Assistant Manager (AM). As an AM, you will support the Store Manager in ensuring that all daily operating procedures are performed as required while promoting a company image of excellence through a strong work ethic, leadership by example, and the consistent delivery of impeccable customer service and store visual presentation. Youll also maximize sales through the development and supervision of sales staff.
