POSITION SUMMARY
The Extraction Technician (Tech) is responsible for converting targeted molecules i.e., terpenes from cannabis raw material into concentrates. This position requires experience with winterization, cannabis concentrates, and remediation operations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Always adhere to legal compliance and company safety guidelines and operating manuals.
- Follow SOPs to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and consistent processes.
- Perform butane extraction methods and purification.
- Document all products coming from the extraction process on daily logs and METRC.
- Sanitize all tools and equipment before and after use.
- Prepare materials before operating machinery: solvent, air, heat exchangers, cannabis material, work orders, tools.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace (extraction room).
- Clean and perform maintenance on all extraction department equipment.
- Complete cleaning and maintenance logs.
- Create and process various types of cannabis extracts.
- Update next extraction shift on machinery, materials, post-processing etc.
- Record all analytical data within each step of the extraction process on daily logs and METRC (as needed).
- Assist Post-Processing department; calibrate and operate a scale/ balance as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Quality Control “QC” chemist is responsible for performing testing on all incoming raw materials, ensuring they meet Abstrax standards and conform to supplier COA’s. They will also be responsible for testing all finished products coming from MFG, conducting visual, sensory, and analytical verification before releasing the products for shipment. They will be responsible for reviewing external Lab COAs to ensure product compliance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain a safe work environment.
- Demonstrate Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Strictly follow all SOPs and Procedures.
- Maintain records/logs to comply with business and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure QC equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
- Determine cannabinoid content of samples using HPLC.
- Utilize GC-MS to determine the total VOC content of cannabis extracts.
- Monitor gas levels to ensure we have sufficient supply for GC.
- Measure viscosity of extract products utilizing in house viscometer.
- Prepare samples of finished products for organoleptic, viscosity, potency, contaminant, and VOC testing.
- Prepare samples of finished products and submit to external labs for compliance testing.
- Continuously inspect product quality and make sure that all products being packed is within company’s standard. Report product deviation greater than 0.5% to supervisor for corrective action.
- Compile and maintain a testing log of all samples run with appropriate values and lot numbers.
- Generate COAs for the Senior QC Chemist to review.
- Reviewing external lab results and COAs.
- Review completed production documentation (batch records, logbooks, etc.) for quality and compliance.
- Complete non-routine jobs as assigned by Senior QC Chemist or other management.
- Work cooperatively with co-workers and Supervisors.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY
The Formulation Tech is responsible for the blending of weighed raw materials to make a finished product with the highest quality and done in a timely manner. This position will work in conjunction with other departments, such as Operations and R&D to ensure we process and execute all orders in timely fashion. Duties include weighing microgram to kilograms quantities of individual raw materials, calibrating equipment, following safety policies and procedures, operating milling equipment, performing sterile filtration, and any other tasks required to complete cell culture media manufacturing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

POSITION SUMMARY
Abstrax is seeking an experienced candidate with the acumen to oversee Abstrax Labs Procurement and Production Planning. Procurement duties require contract negotiation experience as you may broker deals, establish, and maintain supplier relationships pertaining to material sourcing, planning, and purchasing Cannabis Products. - Coordinates production plans to ensure materials are provided to maintain production. Proactively communicates and mitigates issues with production constraints. Create and schedule production orders as per plan.
- Collaborates with Procurement, Production, Logistics, Quality, R&D, and other cross-functional teams to review execution of production schedules, testing schedules, backlog status, and other potential schedule interruptions or rescheduling.
- Support the scheduling of shipments between plant and 3PL partners to ensure timely delivery of target work orders.
- Interact with shop floor management daily to resolve issues regarding production scheduling or to provide additional information as requested from Production teams.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Abstrax Material Prep Operator is an entry level position for our Long Beach office. This role works jointly with the Extraction team and prep materials for processing. Daily duties include receiving, sorting, and lifting to 50 pounds regularly. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well with minimal supervision and in a team setting.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Receive and organize bulk fresh frozen cannabis shreds.
- Sort, store, and prepare frozen cannabis material for the extraction process.
- Funnel prepared cannabis into filter socks for Extractors.
- Freeze socks of cannabis material for designated time.
- Accurately record processes on appropriate datasheets
- Maintain a clean work environment including sweeping, mopping, scrapping ice, ethanol, and rags.
- Sanitize tools, equipment, and storage units.
- Ensure workspace is clean and ready for the next shift.

What you will do:
Formulation chemist is responsible for the blending of weighed raw materials to make a finished product with the highest quality and done in a timely manner. The position will also include performing molecular distillation to purify naturally derived terpene isolates and perform internal QC/QA via GC-FID.
Essential Functions
- Ensures weights, measures and raw materials are managed appropriately to assure batches manufactured contain proper ingredients and quantities.
- Keep a running log of raw isolate inventory.
- Mixing/blending of isolates to make a finished product with tight error margins
- Adjust machine settings to ensure that the product quality will be within specifications
- Molecularly distill terpenes to further increase purity
- Check the purity of molecularly distilled terpenes via GC-FID
- Continuously inspect product quality and make sure that all product being packed is within the company’s standard. Reports product deviation greater than 0.5% to supervisor for corrective action
- Sanitation of equipment and removal of all leftover flavor/fragrance isolates
- Aim for 0% mistakes
- Practice Good manufacturing and Housekeeping
- Follow all SOPs and Procedures
Maintain a safe work environment * Review completed production documentation (batch records, log books, etc.) for quality and compliance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Always adhere to legal compliance and company safety guidelines and operating manuals.
- Follow SOP's to ensure safety, quality, efficiency and consistent processes.
- Perform butane extraction methods and purification
- Document all products coming from the extraction process on daily logs and METRC.
- Sanitize all tools and equipment before and after use.
- Prepare materials before operating machinery: solvent, air, heat exchangers, cannabis material, work orders, tools.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace (extraction room).
- Clean and perform maintenance on all extraction department equipment.
- Complete cleaning and maintenance logs.
- Create and process various types of cannabis extracts
- Update next extraction shift on machinery, materials, post-processing etc.
- Record all analytical data within each step of the extraction process on daily logs and METRC (as needed).

What you will do:
The Post Processor will help to support tasks associated with refining extracted cannabis oil to work-order specifications. This individual will ensure a standard of quality across all duties.This operator will primarily be responsible for the decarboxylation, distillation, winterization, and remediation operations of the facility.
Essential Functions
- Open the Post-Processing facilities and turn on the lights and all necessary equipment
- Ensure all processes are tracked in the post-processing areas on the appropriate datasheet
- Ensure all products are organized by batch and strain
- Organize all final bulk extracts
- Organize bulk extracts that are ready for packaging
- Make a list of supplies and material needed to get the job done or that would help get the job done more efficiently
- Ensure all scales are calibrated at the beginning of the day.
- Ensure cold traps are emptied and cleaned bi-weekly
- Carry out preventable maintenance program with post-processors
- Ensure the work area is cleaned and all equipment, tools, and instruments are sanitized at the end of each day
- Effectively communicate with packaging to ensure they have the tools they need to be successful. Primarily bulk product.
- Inspect, maintain and troubleshoot the packaging processes as needed
- Clean all tools and supplies in ultrasonic cleaner, collect dirty ethanol, and pass off to 53’ pod for recycling.
- Quality Control on product batches coming through post processing
- Quality Control on data being produced by post-processors
- Other duties as assigned by manager.

What you will do:
