Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the umbrella of Acreage Holdings, a national leading cannabis firm, The Botanist in Montville, CT has an immediate need for a full-time CBD sales associate who will also support the reception responsibilities in our dispensary. Thames Valley Relief Smoke Shop is a small boutique store dedicated to providing premium CBD products, smoke, and vapor accessories. We value knowledge and education, creating a safe space where anyone can feel comfortable. The primary responsibilities of this position are to provide excellent customer service, increase sales, merchandise products, and provide administrative support to the affiliated dispensary.
CBD Sales Associate:
- Help customers select products and educate on the products selected
- Provide customer service in person and over the phone
- Perform all cash handling transactions through our register / POS system including opening and closing registers, process transactions, count money accurately & balancing cash drawers
- Process cash or credit payments through a point-of-sale system
- Maintain records related to sales, including customer data.
- Describe products, explaining and demonstrating use, operation, and care
- Take special orders as needed
- Clean shelves, counters, tables and other areas of the store as needed
- Restock inventory and alert Store Manager of inventory needs
Receptionist:
- Greet and check-in patients in a professional, pleasant and courteous manner, as well as schedule consultation appointments for patients through our online scheduling system.
- Patient enrollment assistance through the state registration website (Biznet).
- Delegate and communicate patient needs swiftly to dispensary staff to ensure prompt resolution.
- Responsible for taking incoming calls, checking voicemails, and distributing messages to appropriate personnel. Returning phone calls in a timely fashion.
- Ensure that the dispensary is kept clean and organized for patients and staff.
- Building and maintaining patient profiles in our dispensing software system (BioTrack), which includes creation of profiles, updating patient information when necessary, and scanning required documentation
- Understand and maintain compliance with all state regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
Basic Qualifications:
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years' experience in a fast-paced client-service intensive industry – hospitality and retail backgrounds preferred
- Able to pass a state mandated background check
Additional Qualifications:
- Computer & equipment operations necessary for running an office/retail center (POS systems; Word; Excel; office equipment such as copiers/telephone systems)
- Familiarity with history and varieties of medical marijuana preferred but not required
- Outstanding phone and in-person customer service skills
- Thriving to perform job duties in a fast-paced environment with the ability to stay even keeled in periods of stress
- Demonstrated proactivity, flexibility, adaptability and multi-tasking
