Cannabis Community Engagement Specialist Online Jobs

Institute of Forbidden Fruit is seeking a part-time, remote, Social Engagement Manager to lead in the development of our community platform and social media platforms for the purpose of engagement with our members and recruitment of new members to our platform.

The position will begin as soon as possible and will continue with a month-to-month agreement based on evaluation of increased community engagement.

Responsibilities
The Communications Manager will create communications content and manage social media content. The Officer will report to CEO. The Officer will be expected to work full time for the duration of the consultancy. While the position can be based anywhere, it requires that the Consultant is available during EST, five days per week.

The Officer will be expected to:

• Foster and promote the IFF Educational platform


• Develop a short term and long-term community engagement strategy
• Develop and manage a CMS (content management system)
• Develop and maintain the IFF social media channels;


• Produce professional IFF communications materials for various audiences and ensure their timely dissemination


• Develop and produce a monthly newsletter with content derived from our team of educators and advisors.


• Organize and maintain the digital data in the Google drive, including photos and videos and keep a log of potential video clips for all IFF activities.


• Develop and maintain the IFF database of partners, students, and affiliates;

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience working in communications or a related field, preferably in higher education;


• An advanced degree in a relevant field;


• Excellent interpersonal skills;


• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English


• Ability to proficiently work online with various platforms;


• Ability to multitask and prioritize;


• Proactive, detail oriented, highly organized with excellent ability to follow through;


• Success working with diverse and international stakeholders.

Remuneration

• $2,000 USD per month and will be responsible for tax liability in their country of residence;


• A laptop for use during the contract;
