What You’ll Do
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.
- Process invoices and expense reports including verifying approval, coding, backup, and accuracy. Work with respective departments to obtain any missing information.
- Process petty cash logs and work with petty cash holder on missing back up or questions.
- Enter documents into QuickBooks and attached scanned back up.
- Enter Due to / Due From journal entries when processing invoices for other entities.
- Research and resolve A/P issues with Vendors
- Plan and process regular check runs.
- Run Accounts Payable aging and unpaid bill reports to assist in the Check Run.
- Maintain the check run logs for check runs and log voids and mutilated checks.
- Review vendor statements and work directly with the vendor to resolve any open invoices or credits.
- Reviews and enters activity from the daily banking upload.
- Participate in the month end and year end close processes.
- Assist the Controller with special requests and reports
- Prepare documentation for external auditors, as requested by the Controller
- Assist or perform other tasks or duties as requested.
What You Bring
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High School diploma or equivalent, 2-year accounting degree preferred.
- 5 + years of related accounts payable experience, including month end reporting
- 3 + years of experience with QuickBooks accounting.
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Motivated, self-starter with a high sense of urgency
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Proficient in MS Office, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to acquire Agent Card through Arizona Department of Health Services, if applicable.
